Researchers from the Institute of Materials Science participated in the “Functional Materials and Nanotechnologies” and “Nanotechnology and Innovation in the Baltic Sea Region” joint conference, held in Tartu, Estonia. The conference brought together experts in nanotechnology, materials science, and start-up company representatives from the Baltic Sea region to discuss the latest innovations and their applications across various fields.
Dr. Mindaugas Juodėnas was invited to deliver a talk on “Strongly Deflecting Metagratings Integrated on Lasers for Biophotonics,” showcasing the applications of ultra-small lasers integrated with next generation metaoptics.
PhD student Maziar Moussavi presented his poster, “Enhanced Detection of Lithium Battery Electrolyte Vapors Using a Graphene-Protected SERS Substrate with Silver Nanoparticles,” outlining advancements aimed at improving the safety and long-term performance of lithium-ion batteries.
Congratulations to Maziar, who won the Best Poster award for his outstanding work!
