The innovation exhibition Technorama held on May 9 at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) Santaka Valley, received a record number of participants. Over 60 teams submitted their applications, the prize pool of € 12,000 were divided among the winners. The innovations of young scientists reflect a wide range of research fields: from a health surveillance appliance or concrete using industrial waste to an antimicrobial silicone and an electronic pulse generator.
The researchers of the Material Science Institute: Rasa Mardosaitė, Agnė Šulčiūtė, Mindaugas Ilickas and Simas Račkauskas, also participated in the exhibition and presented their work “Paintable sensors and solar cell coatings with multifunctional ZnO nanomaterials” and were awarded with 500 euros from Practica Capital.
