Kaunas University of Technology Institute of Material Science and Faculty of Mathematics and Natural sciences are starting a new scientific project:”Multifunctional coatings based on ZnO nanowires for selective sensing and efficient solar harvesting (MultiFun)”. This research project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ activity ‘Attracting Foreign Researchers for Research Implementation’ under Measure No. 01.2.2-LMT-K-718.
The project will be led by dr. Simas Račkaus who is of Lithuanian descent and wrote his phd. thesis in Aalto University, Finland. For the last 12 years interned in various universities around the world: Italy, Brasil, Japan, Denmark etc.
