On 15 March 2023, the Institute received a visit from a Dipl.-Phys. Martin Kirchner, who is the department director of Raith GmbH Nanofabrication company (Dortmund, Germany). Martin Kirchner introduced the latest equipment and achievements of Raith GmbH in the field of nanofabrication; the purpose of the visit was also to clarify problems and discuss possible cooperation. Prof. Sigitas Tamulevičius presented the latest works related to the creation of ultra-fast active optics elements, highly sensitive biosensors and new generation nanolasers, which made a great impression on the guest. PhD student Tomas Klinavičius presented the latest research and development of hologram design software for the electron beam lithography tool, which takes into account the variations of a diffraction image with respect to all aspects of observation. Martin Kirchner suggested that Tomas Klinavičius visit Dortmund and test the capabilities of software using the latest Raith GmbH technique. The details of the visit are being coordinated. Dr. Viktoras Grigaliūnas introduced the latest applications of electron beam nanolithography and deep reactive ion etching for the development of non-fogging optical limbs and scales, demonstrated samples.
