Meeting of the MEra-NET project “2D regular nanostructures for lasing and sensing applications” (LaSensA) partners took place on October 17-18, 2022 at the Institute of Materials Science of Kaunas University of Technology. The aim of the project is to study the collective optical behaviour of self-assembled nanoparticle arrays and their internal photophysical processes, and to explore their feasibility for plasmon nanolasers and biosensors.
The meeting took place in a hybrid way, project partners from Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland), Institute of Polymer Physics (Germany), National Institute of Materials Science (Japan) gathered in Kaunas, part of the project implementers connected online.
During the meeting, a tour to the laboratories of the Institute of Materials Science took place, later on issues of project implementation and achieved results as well as encountered challenges were discussed. After fruitful discussion, new ideas for further implementation and cooperation on the frame of the project were established. The meeting ended with a cultural event – excursion in the old town of Kaunas.
