A new method for visualization of holographic anti-counterfeiting means was developed while carrying out an interdisciplinary project “HoloApp”. It was financed by the Research, Development and Innovation Fund of KTU in 2017 and was led by prof. dr. Tomas Tamulevičius. A team of researchers and students from the Institute of Materials Science, the Department of Physics and the Department of Multimedia Engineering were involved in the project. The results were summarized in an article “Dot-Matrix Hologram Rendering Algorithm and its Validation through Direct Laser Interference Patterning” and published by Springer Nature in their multidisciplinary journal “Scientific Reports”. The paper discusses an original algorithm for visualization of dot-matrix holograms and their origination methods via direct laser interference lithography mastered by KTU researchers. Such international recognition illustrates the benefits and the potential of the ongoing interdisciplinary project initiatives at KTU. More details about the article.
